The coil features an elliptical shape and measures 15 × 12 inches (38 × 30 cm). This design helps reduce weight compared to large round coils of a similar class, while also improving the practical ability to separate closely spaced targets. In addition, the elliptical shape is generally less affected by electrical interference.
The coil is built using Double-D (DD) technology with two windings. This provides more stable performance on difficult ground, including mineralized soil, and helps maintain good detection depth across the full contour of the coil.
The housing is made of durable black plastic and is fully sealed, including the connector. The coil can be submerged in water, making it suitable for use in a variety of search conditions.
